The ceremonial pour

Ingredients

  • ·40 g of our cacao block
  • ·350 ml filtered water
  • ·1 small pinch of sea salt
  • ·Optional: a strip of orange peel

Method

  1. 01

    Bring the water just under a simmer in a saucepan.

  2. 02

    Drop in the chopped cacao, salt, and orange peel if using.

  3. 03

    Whisk slowly for 5 to 7 minutes. The cacao thickens as it dissolves.

  4. 04

    Remove the peel. Pour into a wide mug and let it sit for 30 seconds before drinking.
