Grown at Hacienda Río Dulce in the lowland Caribbean of Guatemala, just 50 meters above sea level. The farm sits on 140 hectares of agroforestry — cacao growing beneath rosul and mahogany canopy, tended by a crew of 20 women from surrounding communities who harvest by hand, opening each fruit individually and selecting every bean. The farm uses no synthetic inputs: mountain microorganisms for soil bioremediation, cacao juice as a natural herbicide. Nothing brought in that doesn’t already belong there.
Owned and managed by Rodrigo Sevilla. Recognised by Guatemala’s National Forest Institute (INAB) as the best agroforestry plantation in the region. Fermented 9–11 days. Acriollado genetics bred for sweetness.
