Corazón del Bosque
Wild and distinctive — forest floor, dried plum, a hint of cardamom, with a tannic structure that gives the cup real weight. This is cacao that tastes like the jungle it comes from.

Grown in the forests of Petén, Guatemala’s northernmost department and the country’s most biodiverse region, bordering Belize and the Mayan Biosphere Reserve. The genetics are unusual: a blend of wild cacao native to the Biosphere and introduced Dominican hybrid — producing something you won’t find replicated anywhere else. Twenty-five Q’eqchi’ families grow this cacao on small plots where at least 80% of the land feeds their own households. Cacao is the cash crop, grown among wood and fruit trees, spices, cardamom, and roots.
The origin was born through a partnership with ProPetén, a conservation organisation working to support both the Mayan Biosphere and the communities living within it. The cacao has been organically produced for over 15 years and has won awards in London (2016) and Paris (2017). Fermented eight days in large wooden boxes.
